Charles 'Neb' Clouse, Jr., 87, of Arnold, died May 18, 2017, at Broken Bow, NE. He was born July 28, 1929, north of Stapleton, NE, to Charles Clouse, Sr. and Ella (Hicks) Clouse.
Neb grew up 17 miles north of Stapleton, and attended school through the 8th grade. He married Delores I. Middleton on August 2, 1954, in Chadron.
He grew up 17 miles north of Stapleton, and attended school through the 8th grade. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, camping, and tinkering. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Neb worked for Lou Seda, Sal Gunther, and the Village of Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; son, Glen Alan Clouse; daughter, Cindy Schultz; one brother, Donald; three sisters, Henrietta Swanson, Lenora Kramer and Rose Pooschke; brothers-in-law, Charles Swanson, Eugene Kramer, Donivan Wonch, and Ross Roberts; and sister-in-law, Pauline Clouse.
Survivors include his daughter, Marilyn (Terry) Hancock; two sons, Richard (Dawn) Clouse and Randy (Donna) Clouse; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Duane (Jan) Middleton; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Wonch and Joyce Roberts; brother-in-law, Ivan Pooschke; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and interment was held Tuesday, May 23, at the McCain Cemetery, east of Stapleton. Pastor Irving Jennings officiated.
Pallbearers were Ryan Clouse, Nolan Clouse, Justin Clouse, Kyle Tyson, Brett Scheuler, Josh Thompson, Noah Clouse, Brandon Robinson, and Anthony Clouse.
Arnold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
