Helen H. Trumbull, age 84, of North Platte, formerly of Tryon, died August 17, 2020 at Great Plains Health.
Helen was born August 07, 1936, to Clyde and Lulu (Haney) Wilson, in Tryon, NE. She attended and graduated from McPherson County High School with the class of 1954. Helen began teaching at a county school in Elsmere, Ne while taking classes at Kearney Teacher College. On December 23, 1956 she married Larry Trumbull in Tryon, NE. The couple lived west of Ringgold where Helen raised their children and Larry.

Helen was a member of United Methodist Church, always raised a big garden, active in extension clubs, enjoyed embroidery, playing pitch and the senior dances. She was very family oriented and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Nancy Trumbull, son-in-law, Mike Mell, brother’s; Jim (Doris) Wilson, John Wilson, sister; Loree (Marvin) Huffman, in-laws Harry and Marie Trumbull.

Helen is survived by her husband, Larry, children; Rod Trumbull, Opelika, AL, Rick (Rose) Trumbull, Tryon, NE, Roger (Kim) Trumbull, No. Platte, Mark (Stacey) Trumbull, Ogallala, NE, Michelle Mell, Ogallala, NE; grandchildren; Wendy Trumbull (Rod Schall) Kearney, NE, Tracy (Rocky) Wiezorek, No. Platte, Holly Trumbull, Kearney, NE, Matt (Mary) Trumbull, Madison, AL, Eric (Christa) Trumbull, Tryon, NE, Whitney (Shane) Ruh, Tryon, NE, Sidney Mell, Lincoln, NE, Shawna Mell, Kearney, NE, Landon Trumbull, Rapid City S.D, Kameryn Trumbull, Ogallala, NE, Derek (Stephanie) Uhrmacher, Ayr, NE; great-grandchildren; Shawn Frederick-Mell, Kearney, NE, Cameron McClellen, Kearney, NE, Jestena Wiezorek, Lilye Wiezorek, Kaurlee Wiezorek, Mystre Wiezorek, Novalia Wiezorek, Olyve Wiezorek, all of No. Platte, NE, Lane Beck, Central City, NE, Sophie Armour, Ayr, NE and Olivia Uhrmacher, Ayr, NE. brother; Bob (Velma) Wilson, Brownsville, TX, sister-in-law; Marge Wilson, Omaha, NE; host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorials have been established in Helen’s name to Great Plains Health Foundation or The First United Methodist Church.
