Helen Theresa (Serres) Hall, 79, of Bartlett, Nebraska, passed away on July 13, 2026. She was born June 3, 1947, in Sioux County to Paul and Eva (Barrett) Serres.
Helen’s first teaching job was in a one-room country school before marrying Lamoine Hall on October 11, 1969. Together they made their home in Bartlett, where they raised their daughters and built a successful family cattle business. Helen also continued in education, substituting and working in the office at Wheeler Central High School for many years. She loved her family deeply and cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen enjoyed playing piano and treasured her trips out west to visit family, the Serres homestead, and Montrose Catholic Church.
She is survived by daughters Paula Sue (Brad) Pokorny and Cristine Loree (Rod) Hoelscher; grandchildren Cade (Kaitlyn) Pokorny and son Wade, Cauy (Jaylee) Pokorny, Dane Pokorny, Loren Hoel-scher, Paige (Hoelscher) Dutton-Mofford (Gavin) and son Merrick, Brooke Hoelscher, Evan Hoel-scher, and Isaac Hoel-scher; sisters Mary Haun (Joe) of Colorado and Edna Lewis of Potter, NE; brother George Serres (Becky) of Crawford, NE; sisters-in-law Mary (Hall) Schloz (Stan) and Jackie Serres; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lamoine; her parents; brothers Gene, Floyd, and Joe Serres; and sister Eileen Anderson.
Helen’s life was one of music, faith, family, and joy. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
