Larry L. Bostron - March 25, 1942 - July 24, 2017

Larry L. Bostron, 75, of Mullen, Nebraska, died on Monday, July 24, 2017, at the Pioneer Memorial Rest Home in Mullen. 
He was born on March 25, 1942, to Harold and Lydia (Schmick) Bostron, in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He was raised in Brush, Colorado, and graduated from high school in 1960.
Larry married Margaret “Peggy” Macke on Jan. 4, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mullen. Into this union two daughters were born, Lynnette and Brenda. 
He grew up farming with his dad and dairy farming with his uncle. When he moved to Mullen in 1964, he worked for Bill and Betty Macke at the Hardware Store. He also worked for Ed Macke at Macke’s Grocery and Bill Johnson at Johnson Feed Store. Later he bought the Hardware Store and called it B & D (Bostron & Deibler).
Larry served in the North Platte National Guard for six years. 
He was all about family and hard work. He loved to fish and hunt. He found joy in following school activities and staying active with his family and grandchildren. He loved his Middle Loup acreage - the tractors, hunting and fishing. This was a paradise for he and his family.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Larry is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Lynnette (Bryan) Crisp of Mullen, daughter Brenda (Tod) Shepherd of North Platte, grandchildren Tanner (Katie) Crisp of Mullen, Lauren (Cody) Hollenbeck of Mullen and Ryan and Landon Shepherd of North Platte, great-grandchild Riggin Hollenbeck of Mullen, sister Jan (Tom) Rhoades of Alabama, niece Juliette Rhoades of Alabama and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. MT at the Mullen Funeral Home on Thursday, July 27, 2017. A Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mullen. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. MT at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen.
Memorials may be given to Cedarview Cemetery, Mullen Ambulance or a memorial of your choice.
