Manley Dewayne Kramer

Lg

Manley Dewayne Kramer, 97, of North Platte, NE, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026. Manley was born on August 12, 1928, in Ogallala, NE. He married Eunice (Miller) on May 27, 1950, in Ringgold, NE.

Manley and his folks, Wayne and Doris (Arnett) moved to Kramer Ranch when Manley was only a year old. Manley lived on Kramer Ranch until 2019 when he and Eunice moved to North Platte, NE.

Manley attended a few different schools growing up. He spent 3rd-6th grades staying with his grandmother, Nellie Arnett, while going to school in Arthur. In 7th grade, he stayed with his aunt and uncle, Arch and Opal Kramer and attended Grant school, then attended his 8th grade in Hooker County. He graduated in 1948 from Tryon High School.

Manley’s memory of the past and his ability with figures was amazing.

Manley’s favorite things to do the past few years were trips to Rosebud and going for drives pretty much anywhere, it didn’t make any difference where or how hot or cold it was out. He was ready to go. He would say, “If you’re running errands, I would go!” He was especially fond of drives through Cody Park to check on the Blue Herons, drives by Lake Maloney to see how many people are fishing, drives by Lake McConaughy to see the Eagles, or just enjoying sitting on the lake house porch and looking at the fields of cranes. His all-time favorite was getting a White Yoka (Mocha) Coffee at Scooters. His favorite foods were Runza, Jr. Whoppers, enchiladas, Rangoons at Amigos, and of course some “good ole’ home cooking!”

Those left to cherish Manley’s memory are his children Kerry (Kirk) Hansel of Callaway, NE, Bill (DeAnna) Kramer of North Platte, NE. Bruce (Judie) Kramer of Tryon, NE, Jean Evans of Lincoln, NE, Donna Kramer of Wasilla, AK, John Kramer of North Platte, NE; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eunice; infant daughter Susan; parents Wayne and Doris; parents-in-law Earl and Pearl Miller; and daughter-in-law Judy Kramer.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. A private family burial will occur after at Miller Cemetery.
