Mary Elizabeth (Price) Krogh died January 23, 2023 at her home in San Diego. She was born in Thedford, NE on January 11, 1944, to Ralph and Mae Price. Her parents died while Mary and her brothers, Tom and Jim, were still young. Their grandparents, Jim and Lucy Peterson of Thedford, wanted the children to stay together, so they agreed to take care of them.
Mary attended grade school in Thedford and graduated with the class of 1962. Following high school, she went to college in Maryland, staying with her half-brother, Ralph Jr., and wife Margaret.
Mary worked in Denver one winter and got so tired of waiting for the bus in the cold and snow that she decided to move to San Diego. She worked for the county where she met Chad Krogh, who she married on June 8, 1985.
Mary went back to college to learn to be a physical therapy assistant. Mary loved to travel. She and Chad went on several trips to locations across the globe. She also enjoyed traveling with friends through the years. Mary did yoga, enjoyed classes in Japanese flower arranging, and her book club. Mary loved animals and was a supporter of the San Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park.
She was very skilled at giving back massages.
She is survived by her husband, her sister-in-law, Joan Price, one niece & family, one nephew & family, several cousins, and Una Clausen, who was a longtime friend. Mary had many cherished friends who will greatly miss her.
