Richard Eugene “Josh” Cooper

Richard Eugene “Josh” Cooper at the age of 67 passed away at his home November 16, 2019. Ritchie, Josh, or Red as he was called was born to Delbert and Jewel (Blevins) Cooper in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 21, 1952.
He enjoyed his chores, fishing, watching the Nebraska Public Television Channel, and tinkering on things to see if he could just make them work. He loved to tell stories, believe it or not!
Survivors include his children, Ritchie Boe Cooper, Brandy Renee Mallot, Joshua Lee Cooper, and Matthew Lee Cooper; several grandchildren; brothers, Sonny Cooper and Roger Cooper; aunt, Naida Blair; life partner, Janell Woracek; and youngsters he took under his wing, taught a lot, or tried to, and had good times with, Steven Woracek, Thomas Woracek, Robert Wora-cek, Philip Woracek, James Woracek, Jacob Woracek, Julie Kirts, Mary Wilson, Veronica Schutz, and Thresa (T.C.) McIntosh.
Preceding him in death were his parents Dale and Jewel Cooper; an infant daughter; sister, Judy Cooper; and brother, Ronald Weigel.

Services were held Friday, November 22 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Mockaitis officiating. Military honors were conducted by the United States Marine Corps and a private burial will take place at a later date. 
Adams & Swanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
