Robert L. Campbell, 87, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his home.  Robert was born on July 4, 1937 in Beresford, South Dakota to Alvin Robert Campbell and Minnie (Larson) Campbell.

Bob graduated from Mitchell High School in Mitchell, S.D.  He was married to Blanche Thelma Mitchell in 1961 and together they had two children.  He married his second wife, Mary Quinn on October 15, 1999 in North Platte and gained an extended family.  Bob was an expert carpenter and worked for most of his career with Dowhower Construction Co. in North Platte until retiring in 1998.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and camping.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; son, Steve; grandson, Dustin; sisters, Alvira “Sis” Kolilis and Corrine Lowies; brothers, Elijia “Bud” and Edward “Babe” Campbell; stepson, Alfred Wilcox; step daughter, Annetta Wilcox.

He is survived by daughters, Debbie McEntire (Jeffrey Theisen) of Broomfield, CO, and Tammy Buesing (Dave) of Dunning, NE; grandchildren, Jordan (Amber) McEntire, Jared (fiancée BreAnna Ehlers) McEntire, Jennifer (Eugene) Hodge, Lucrita Wilcox, Chris (Raeanna) Buesing, Cody Buesing, Steven, Frank, and Desa Campbell; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sienna, Dein, McKenna, Noah, Torrance (Bryce), Lura, Robert, Nikola, Harper, Luna, Lilly, Kolten, Presley, Maddie, Braylyn, Rayden, and Zaidee; great-great-grandson, Julian and one on the way, Brawson; step-sons, Mich-ael (Olvie) Wilcox, Mickey (Sandy) Perry; step-grandchildren, CJ, Mark, Miranda, Cierra, Alexis, MC, Destiny, Kayla, and Colby; special friend, Micky Scoville; and many nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Graveside memorial services were held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Riverview Cemetery in Sutherland, NE.  Visitation and viewing with the family receiving friends was conducted Thursday, December 19th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
