A celebration of life was held Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Thedford, for Tony K.  Booth and Sandra M. Booth.
Tony Kim Booth, 70, passed away April 6, 2020 at Thedford. Tony was born April 4, 1950 in Omaha. He was raised in Thedford and graduated from Thedford High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving from 1969-1971 as a Navy SeaBee. Tony was very proud to be a Veteran. He served 40 plus years on the Thedford Volunteer Fire Department and was a business owner for 45 years, owning and operating Opheim-Booth Repair Shop.  He was a very good mechanic and had a great sense of humor. He was someone you could always count on.
Tony was a caring man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it .
Sandra “Sandy” Mardell Johnson Booth, 72, was born August 2, 1951 in North Platte, to Harold and Betty Johnson. She passed away August 18, 2023 at North Platte. Sandy grew up in Logan County and graduated from Stapleton High School.
Tony and Sandy met while attending college in North Platte. Sandy told a friend she was going to marry that man after she saw Tony in his uniform. They were married December 28, 1973 and celebrated 47 years of marriage.
Sandy was owner operator of the café and gas station in Thedford for many years, delivered the Omaha World Herald, was a brand inspector, EMT, artist, actress in plays, was an experienced derby car driver, and a person you could always count on.
Everyone will remember Sandy with Moore cigarettes, a can of beer, and baby oil while lying out at the river or tubing down the Dismal. She raised her boys to be unapologetically themselves.
The couple were caring people who would give you the shirts off their backs.
Tony and Sandy were preceded in death by their parents, Russell and Mamie Booth and Harold and Betty Johnson; Sandy’s sister, Dorothy; and their granddaughter Rilee Booth.
Survivors include their two sons, Russell (Randi) and Jim (Theresa) Booth and grandchildren, Ryker, Rylan, Lincoln, Tony and Teralyn; and Sandy’s brothers, Dan Johnson and wife, Lila and their children, and Ivan and friend Barb, and children.
