Zarrin Raymond Maliske, 52, of Roberts, Montana passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Billings, Montana.
He was born on November 9th, 1965 in Lemmon, South Dakota to Herman and Lily Maliske. He graduated high school in Bowman, North Dakota. Shortly after graduation he began his lifelong career in construction—with a focus on siding, windows, and doors.
In 1988, Zarrin met the love of his life, Staci Pettit. They married in 1990 and started their life together in Denver, CO. Zarrin and Staci were blessed with two beautiful children, Michael and Michaela. Zarrin and his family spent 23 years in Denver before moving to Roberts, Montana.
He loved being outside and enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. Zarrin took pride in hunting white tail deer at his in-laws’ ranch every fall. After moving to Roberts, he rediscovered his passion for golfing and horseshoes. Zarrin was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and supported them through the good and bad years!
Zarrin looked forward to being around his friends and especially enjoyed debating. Many of his friends would claim that he would disagree just to start a good ol’ friendly argument.
Zarrin is survived by his wife of 27 years, Staci Maliske of Roberts, MT; two children: Michael and Michaela Maliske of Roberts, MT; mother, Lily Maliske of Bowman, ND; eight siblings: Zoe Maliske of Powell, WY, Zach (Jodi) Maliske of Alexandria, VA, Mike (Lori) Maliske of Beulah, ND, Zeta (Curt) Drolc of Hettinger, ND, Zane (Joni) Maliske of Rapid City, SD, Mark Maliske of Denver, CO, Zelina (Kyle) Johnson of Downers Grove, Il, and Mitch (Naomi) Maliske of Bismarck, ND, mother and father in-law Stan (Julie) Pettit, brothers in-law Scott (Joy) Pettit, Shane (Angie) Pettit; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Zarrin was preceded in death by his father, Herman S Maliske, maternal grandparents, Oakley and Elizabeth Erickson, paternal grandparents, Michael and Apolonia Maliske and numerous aunts and uncles.
Services will be held September 22, 2018 at Smith-Olcott Funeral Home in Red Lodge, Montana.
