Velma Lou (Bass) Schroeder, age 96, passed away October 1, 2017, at Westview Care Facility in Derby, Kansas. Services were held Wednesday, October 4, at Faith Lutheran Church in Derby. Velma Lou's life was entirely about the children: her own two, her four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, the kids at church, and any child she met along the way.
