Mary Helen (Kotschwar) Quick, 92, joined her husband and a host of family and friends in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Highland Park Care Center. Mary Helen was born January 2, 1925, in her grandfather’s rural home south of Maywood, Nebraska to Joseph and Jennie I. (Loghry) Kotschwar.

Audrey May (Cash) Coleman, age 90 of North Platte, passed away Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Great Plains Health.Audrey was born July 19, 1927 in North Platte, NE to Leo and Mable (Allen) Cash. She moved to Ringgold, NE at the age of 2, graduating from Stapleton High School in 1946. In 1946 she married Harold Wescoat.

Kevin Allan Jameson was born on February 13, 1966 in Mullen, NE, to Allan and Garnett Curtis Jameson.  He passed away on November 26 at the Cherry Co. Hospital in Valentine.Kevin attended school in Thedford and graduated from Thedford High School.

Lucille passed away peacefully the morning of March 31, 2017. She had 95 grace-filled years of life, experiencing mostly excellent health. She was born to Arthur and Grace Cline Kelly on February 14, 1922 in Stapleton, Nebraska at the home of her parents, with her grandmother, Blanche Overman Cline, attending the birth.

Karen Harwager, 73, of Arnold, NE, died November 20, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.She was born August 14, 1944, in Kearney, NE, to Lloyd Galusha and Gladys Mildred (Davis) Stogdill. Karen grew up in Thedford and graduated with the Thedford High School Class of 1962. She married Bill Harwager on November 23, 1966, at the Logan County Courthouse in Stapleton, NE.

Clinton Ross Shoemaker, of North Platte,  passed away at Great Plains Health on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the age of 78. Ross was born February 11, 1939, at Madison, South Dakota to Clinton and Dorothy Brewer. The family lived in Omaha before moving to North Platte in 1949.Ross graduated from North Platte High School in '57 then attended Chadron State College for two years.

Glen E. Walker, 89, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on Sunday, November 19, 2017.Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Steven Pettit officiating.  Burial was in the Kimball Cemetery.

John Edward Nelson, age 89, of Arnold, NE, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Good Life Center, Callaway, NE.He was born January 27, 1928, in Holdrege, NE, to Carl Edward and Almida Matilda (Minnie) Bjorklund Nelson. He lived in Phelps County until the family purchased a farm north of Arnold. There is where he gleaned his love of farming, horses, the beauty of nature, the talent of fixing anything with what was available and the friendship of neighbors and Arnoldites.
